Keep tasks separate

Use one clean brush for dusting and another for polishing. Buff after applying a suitable care product and allowing its stated drying time. Reserve light bristles for light polishes and dark bristles for dark polishes.

Never use a brush carrying coloured polish to dust suede or nubuck. Use light strokes and test delicate finishes. A mirror shine requires an appropriate polishing technique; the brush alone does not guarantee it.
