For compatible white, finished smooth-leather sneakers. Choose Matt or Shine Whitening Cream. Read the material and finish guide before use.

Choose your whitening finish

• Matt: a matte white finish. To retain that appearance, skip the included Leather Protection Cream; it is intended for glossy leather and may change the matte look.
• Shine: a glossy white finish. Use the protection cream only after testing the complete routine on a hidden area.

Both options contain the same cleaner and protection cream, plus one jar of your selected whitening finish. Choosing Matt does not make the protection cream suitable for a matte finish.

Clean, soft application and buffing cloths are required and are not included. Use separate clean cloths or sections for each product.

Check the material and finish first

For compatible white, finished smooth natural leather or synthetic leather. Confirm the material and care instructions with the footwear maker. A smooth-looking surface or white colour alone does not establish suitability. The protection cream is specified for glossy leather sneakers; leave it off any area where a matte finish must be preserved.

Do not use on

• Suede, nubuck, roughout or other brushed leather
• Patent leather, metallic or pearlescent finishes, reptile or other specialty leathers
• Unprotected aniline, delicate nappa or untreated vegetable-tanned leather
• Fabric, mesh, canvas, rubber soles or midsoles
• Peeling coatings, printed artwork or decorative finishes without specialist advice

The white cream adds white pigment. Apply it only to suitable white leather areas, keeping it off coloured panels, logos, stitching, trims and linings. Do not use it on cream, ivory or off-white areas unless the white result is intended and a test has confirmed it.

If the material or finish is uncertain, do not apply the products. Check with the footwear maker or contact ShoeMedic with photographs and material details first.

Test your chosen routine first

Test a very small hidden area of the same material and finish. Let each stage dry fully and complete its label-directed finishing steps. With Matt, test the cleaner and Matt Whitening Cream and omit the protection cream to retain the matte look. With Shine, test the cleaner, Shine Whitening Cream and protection cream in sequence.

Check for unwanted colour, gloss or texture changes, loss of finish, tackiness or unwanted transfer to a clean, dry cloth. Continue only if the result is satisfactory. Stop if any unwanted change occurs. Test contrasting materials separately and keep all treatments off unsuitable panels.

Recommended care sequence

1. Prepare: start with dry sneakers. Remove loose surface dust gently and protect the surrounding work surface.
2. Clean: put a small amount of Leather Cleaner onto a clean soft cloth and wipe dirty leather areas gently. Do not pour it onto the shoe, soak the surface or scrub repeatedly. Allow the surface to dry before continuing.
3. Refresh the white: apply your selected Matt or Shine Whitening Cream to suitable white leather areas according to the jar’s directions. Complete the stated drying and finishing steps before using the shoes or applying another treatment. Avoid heavy layers.
4. Protection step — glossy finishes only: for a compatible Shine finish, use a separate clean cloth to spread Leather Protection Cream thinly and evenly. Once dry, buff gently with a clean soft cloth. Skip this step when maintaining a Matt finish.

Follow every container’s directions. Drying time varies with the surface and amount applied; wait until each treatment is fully dry. Keep jars closed after use and store away from heat, direct sunlight and children.

What to expect

The cleaner removes dirt and old cream, the selected whitening cream refreshes the white appearance, and the protection cream adds water-repellent care to compatible glossy leather. The kit does not repair peeling coatings, deep damage or structural cracks, and it does not make footwear fully waterproof. Seek advice rather than applying more cleaner or rubbing harder if a mark remains.
